feeling summer lazy

so heres 2 sketches that sort of happend through the school yr and i found some time to sit down and play with them on the comp, all though they are unresolved i feel like i have an idea of what i don't want to touch. i dont' think i can digitally render! its amazing when people can do it from start till finish, but i'd rather just stick to the traditional and maybe start drawing legs and not just straight on portraits :P
I made red velvet cupcakes with matcha cream cheese frosting today. it was my first and probably the last time i'll ever make any sort of cake from scratch, not that they weren't good, i mean lynsy wanted to puke from how sweet it was, i'll bring the rest for everyone on thurs when we go to edmonton for sagmeisterrrrrrrrrrr.

woo going to mexico in 6 days! thalia, whitney and i have a little something to work on during and after that.

"summer" starts now!

lets hope i keep this consistent! i have had a blog before but i guess it wasn't an "artist" blog...so on here i will try to be more productive. there are definitely alot of personal projects throughout the school year that came up but unfortunately i was unable to actually do, let alone start.
i hope this is able to document my process/progress in these 4 upcoming months of freedom!!!

anyways...heres some illoz i've done during the 2nd semester, surprisingly it feels like i didn't do any design work, well there was typography, which was stressful.
all the images are a little washed out...boo to blogg!

children storybook spot

children storybook spreads
first done in watercolor, gauche and pencil crayon

put together in photoshop, less successful than expected

annual report illustratrations, minimal color palette is my bestfriend

children and weapons, its supposed to have a propaganda feel

so i feel like i altho i did explore different styles and media's, i still wasn't too satisfied with the process, with homework out of the way i can finally learn and explore different medias and hopefully come out of my comfort zone!! weeeeee....
